Edge-Glued and Finger-Jointed Beech Panels

Beech is one of the strongest European hardwoods, offering an excellent balance of durability, appearance and value. Compared to other hardwood species such as oak or walnut, beech is a more affordable option while still providing outstanding strength and stability.

An edge-glued beech panel features full-length lamellas, creating a clean and natural appearance. Depending on the cut of the wood, the surface can vary from a uniform, straight grain (radial cut) to a more expressive pattern with distinctive grain variations (tangential cut). This makes edge-glued beech panels a popular choice for furniture, worktops, stair components and other visible interior applications.

A finger-jointed beech panel is manufactured from shorter pieces of solid wood joined together to maximise material efficiency and stability. Characteristics of beech wood

Beech is an excellent material for interior finishing works, it is good to make stairs, floors, parquet, panels and furniture. The beech can be well processed by tools and grinding. When treated with lacquers, virtually no color changes. Under the influence of sunlight, light beech wood darkens. Beech, processed by steam, easily bends, this feature is used in the manufacturing of e.g. Viennese chairs.
