Round tabletops
A round table is a genuine feature of a cosy kitchen or dining room; it provokes a desire to collect all your family together.
As usual, the form of a round table stands out from the typical rectangular kitchen forms. Also, the round table is compact and safe for children.
All possible kinds of manufacturing you can find in the calculator below.
We can produce for you just cut round detail in necessary measurements or grid for the covering. And sure, we can make a finished product, a tabletop finished with oil or varnish.
Please send us the picture or the draft if you have any vision of the possible table base. Wooden items we can do ourselves, and metal ones could manufacture by our partner.
Here are some examples from our portfolio—only our own projects.
How many people can accommodate a round table? It depends on the size:
- 3-4 persons, if the diameter is up to 1200 mm
- 5-6 persons, if the diameter is up to 1400 mm
- 7-8 persons, if the diameter is up to 1800 mm
These calculations work if the table is placed in free space, not close to a wall.

Round Wooden Tabletop – What You Need to Know Before Choosing
A round wooden tabletop is a beautiful and practical solution. But there are a few important things to consider when ordering one.
First, a round tabletop takes up more space than it seems.
Second, it has no corners, which means less usable surface area compared to a rectangular table.
Here’s what else to keep in mind:
1. How many people will sit at the table?
Plan ahead. On our website, you can find a guide showing how many people fit comfortably at different table sizes.
2. Think about the edge profile early on.
On a round table, the edge is often more visible and frequently touched — especially with close seating.
- A straight edge gives a strict, minimalist look.
- A rounded edge is safer (great if you have kids at home) and more comfortable for long meals.
- A decorative milled edge works well for classic interiors.
3. Pay close attention to thickness and proportions.
Proportions are especially noticeable on round tables.
- A thick top might look too heavy.
- A thin top might look weak or unstable.
- For diameters up to 1 meter, 20–25 mm thickness works well.
- For tables 1.2–1.4 meters in diameter, aim for at least 30 mm or more.
- If your table will have a single central leg, it’s best to use a thicker tabletop — for both stability and balanced appearance.
4. The base (leg) is even more important than with a rectangular table.
- A single pedestal base looks elegant, but requires strong mounting and a weighted bottom for stability.
- A base with three or four legs is more stable, but may limit how many people can sit comfortably.
