We were contacted by a client from Tallinn. She needed a ready-made table for her home. She had a detailed design drawing. Among the requirements were rustic oak tabletopandmetal frame base.
The table had to be 1000x1600 with a tabletop thickness of 35 mm. The client wanted the table top to be made of three panels and the metal frame to be one piece.
The first thing we did was to adapt the drawing to our possibilities. We agreed with the client on texture, radiuses, and coating. Further, we contacted three contractors for this order.
- The first contractor did the tabletop. Together with him we selected an oak board from the warehouse, which was suitable in size and texture. The craftsman decided to use 8 boards, so as to strengthen the construction. He placed the fibers in a special way, in order to ensurebeautiful pattern.
- The second contractor did the metal part. It was solid, while looking quite light and airy.
- The third contractor delivered and assembled the table. The tabletop is attached to the metal part with special axle boxes. Such fasteningis more convenient than screws. The tabletop is not difficult to remove, thanks to the axle boxes.
Result
The total order value was EUR 1100 + VAT. It took almost a month to make and install the table. The deadline turned out to be a little longer than expected, but everyone was satisfiedwith the result.
