Region - North America

White oak is common in the eastern United States, especially in the Appalachian Mountains.
Along with the white oak, the red oak has also spread to America. The red oak grows faster, so its territories are wider.
If the oak product is coated in dark colors, the difference between white and red oak is indistinguishable. However, the majority of clients in our country prefer natural-colored oak.
That's why white American oak is more popular in Estonia than red oak. American oak is slightly lighter than European oak, but in other aspects they are similar. Therefore, sometimes both types of oak are used in the same project and the difference is imperceptible.
