Important features of wood color
It is important to keep in mind that in real life, the finish will always differ from what you see in a picture. Phone, monitor, tablet – every screen has its own characteristics, and each displays colors differently.
If it is important for you to achieve the maximum match between expectations and reality, we recommend sending us a physical sample of the desired color. This could be, for example, a sample of a floorboard.
Based on your sample, we can determine the proportions of oil and the number of layers needed to achieve the closest possible result.
OSMO colors
Even in this case, a 100% color match may not be possible:
All wood is different. At the moment, we have oak from Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Croatia, France, and the USA in stock. Oak is oak, of course, and it looks similar. But different climates, soils, and origins all affect how the wood looks and how it absorbs different finishes.
And yet, it is precisely for these unexpected qualities of natural material that we love wood.
The amount of oils the craftsman needs to have in order to match the color.
