Do you like home parties?
After a fun evening, a wooden table can stay uncleaned all night and filled with dishes. We've had that happen! Therefore, we decided to test how different oils behave after a night underwater, coffee and wine.
Important disclaimer! Never do it this way. Wipe surfaces immediately. No table or oil manufacturer will ever give a guarantee for such a case. Our experiment is not scientific; it is just a test for ourselves.
There are three videos ahead - sample preparation, oil coating and the experiment itself. At first we look at how samples are prepared.
Let’s continue. In the previous video, we prepared oak boards for finishing, and next, we will cover them with different oils. In the video, you can see the features of coating with different oils.
Somewhere it would help if you had a roller, a special sponge. To finish with Saicos and Rubio, the surface must first be wetted and polished. All oils have to be used twice, except Rubio Monocoat. You need a special hardener in the oil; that's enough.
Meet the last part of our experiment. The most exciting part - we laid coffee, water and wine on the finished boards. And remain there for 6-8 hours. You will see the result at the end of the video.
Remember our disclaimer!
As you can see from the video, only the board covered with Borma remained in its original condition. But if you noticed in the first video, here we used Borma for a parquet. Many customers prefer special oils for countertops - technically, they are more natural and have fewer chemicals. The choice is always yours.
And do not forget to clean the kitchen after a party!
